Сервисов таких и в мире, и в России великое множество, и большинство из них во избежание проблем с законом предпочитают позиционировать себя в качестве помощников для офисных работников – что-то вроде «презентация слишком большая для того, чтобы прикрепить ее к электронному письму? Воспользуйся нашим сервисом!». Но ни для кого не секрет, что на самом деле все они в подавляющем большинстве случаев используются для обмена музыкой, видео и порнографией. Для тех, кому лень разбираться в тонкостях настройки p2p-клиентов, это отличный выбор – у каждого такого сервиса установлен лимит на максимальный объем закачиваемых файлов, как правило, позволяющий обмениваться, например, полными музыкальными альбомами, а не отдельными треками, или фильмами различного содержания, не разделяя их при этом на много небольших кусков.
Итак, когда в прошлом году Германию настигла волна «копирайтной» борьбы, и в стране под напором представителей кино- и звукозаписывающей индустрии был принят закон, предусматривающий с 1 января 2007 года лишение свободы за скачивание музыки и фильмов из Сети (2 года и 5 лет – за скачивание в коммерческих целях), Rapidshare, почуяв неладное, приняла меры. В помощь (и на замену) Rapidshare.de, расположенной в Германии, в Швейцарии была открыта Rapidshare.com, на которую постепенно и перешли большинство пользователей. Но немецкую RIAA – GEMA – это ничуть не смутило, и она уже в конце прошлого года начала преследовать оба представительства Rapidshare, рассчитывая на помощь и понимание со стороны швейцарской полиции.
Суть обвинений проста и знакома по многочисленным искам к Napster – мол, Rapidshare, предоставляя свои услуги по размещению файлов, способствует росту пиратства. Таким образом, уход в зону COM и в Швейцарию не спас знаменитый файлообенник, находящийся сейчас в Германии буквально в опале, от суда. GEMA, которая управляет авторскими правами 60 тыс. своих участников, настроена серьезно. В конце марта суд постановил, что хостер может нести ответственность за нарушение авторских прав его пользователями, и предписал Rapidshare усовершенствовать фильтры во избежание дальнейшего нарушения авторских прав.
CEO GEMA так прокомментировал решение суда: «Оно подтверждает, что это не задача правообладателей – за собственные деньги следить за операциями на файлообменных сервисах, которые наживаются на нарушениях своими клиентами авторских прав. Это решение послужит хорошим сигналом для других файлообменников, которые помогают отдельным пользователям в создании огромной системы по обмену нелегальной продукцией».
Впрочем, в тот же день Rapidshare, заняв прямо-таки героическую позицию, официально заявила, что будет подавать аппеляцию, т.к. это судебное решение может нанести непоправимый удар и по другим компаниям, занимающимся предоставлением своим клиентам свободного дискового пространства. Rapidshare собирается делать упор на то, что на сегодняшний день не представляется возможным технически проверять каждый закачиваемый тысячами пользователей файл на наличие в нем тех или иных «запрещенных» материалов. В конце концов, напоминает немецкий сервис, нет ничего противозаконного в том, чтобы посредством файлообменника поделиться с друзьями копией честно купленного музыкального альбома – и как отличить такую закачку от по-настоящему «пиратской»?

Rising from teen girl band ashes known as the Tremolons, guitarist-gal rocker visionary Char Vinnedge put together the Luv'd Ones, Dunwich's only all-girl punk group. But the Luv'd Ones were no mere boy toys with instruments; under Vinnedge's direction, she wrote the dark, somber originals, played lead guitar and generally directed the band in the male-infested waters of mid-'60s rock & roll. That their siren song was unheard 'til now (a small batch of singles only) is no reflection on their material or their talents, both in abundance on this excellent 20-track compilation. Largely comprising unissued demos and long lost sessions (their sides as the Tremolons are on a separate Sundazed vinyl EP) and all of it steeped in fuzztoned swirls of sound, this is a pretty amazing little collection of DIY female punk spirit done just right. A missing chapter in rock & roll history.

To Kizsmeth: thanks very much for the Dogfeet - it's quite good! But there is something strange with the sound - the left channel is very low volume and muffled (no highs). Is that how the original sounds?
Kizsmeth: Ooops - sorry! It's just the live tracks that sound that way. I tried the first and last track (and both are live). They are obviously just a stereo sbd of the live stuff, but hey - it's good stuff.

Only trouble for me is I am kid who not can get rapidshare accouting because have no how to pay it. So must downlode and then wait ... wait... wait ... wait for very long time to get next and don't get much.
Some blog places uses sharebee or massmirror and then can I get many downlodes in one time and not much waiting. And they fix ,broken link' stuff for you two, they said. Do you think maybe you can please to be using sharebee or massmirror also?

One of the great lost experimental jazz/rock albums. According to legend, Gout was bankrolled by Miles Davis in 1974, delivered to Columbia Records and pressed for promotion... then summarily abandoned by the label. Specializing in free form, live-in-the-studio, jazz/rock experimentation, The Atrocity was a chaotic, 8 to 11 piece collective fronted by the 20 year old junkie Art Jackson - whose guitar explorations were prone to both violent outbursts and spacey sonic excursions. A long lost curiosity ripped from a very rare vinyl promo.
