Despite what its title might imply, this is all original material - originally a double-vinyl album. Recorded live in the studio with no overdubs, Nektar shows a raw, fiery side here that is rather different from what they did elsewhere. Roye Albrighton is one of the best singers/guitarists ever heard in rock music - his guitar style is almost like a cross between Hendrix and Frampton the way he so seamlessly wanders between solo and rhythm playing. Usually quite understated, here Albrighton lets rip some amazing feedback mayhem in places.
